Villas del Caribe, an entire city block in the Fairhill neighborhood of Philadelphia, is a series of interconnected, three-story buildings ringed around interior courtyards. This renovation project will meet Preservation requirements of the 2020 Enterprise Green Communities certification program. Exterior renovation work includes removal of existing slabs at exterior unit entries where slabs do not pitch away from the buildings and replacement with new, properly pitched concrete slabs, repair/replacement of masonry unit and spot repointing of existing masonry walls and columns, new roof access ladders, removal/replacement of existing roofs, new weather resistance barrier membrane and drained siding system, new unit entrance security doors, and landscaping. Interior work includes renovation of unit bathrooms and kitchens with new flooring, finishes, Energy Star appliances, and lighting fixtures.
