We are actively seeking a Director for our Educational Studio

Director of Education

A resourceful and inspiring architect to lead an innovative educational design studio.
A thought leader who brings a fresh perspective to our existing clients and develops relationships at new institutions.
Licensed architect with a thorough knowledge of architectural practice specifically in all levels of education.

Job Description:

  • Studio Leader: Act as a lead for all educational projects on all levels – internally managing project teams and externally managing consultants and clients. Inspire staff to be innovative through brainstorming sessions, team meetings, and other strategic tools.

  • Design Lead: Creative designer who can generate and translate abstract ideas and concepts into thoughtful, meaningful spaces.

  • Strategic Thinker: Formulate short-term and long-term goals and strategies for achieving them.

  • Motivating Speaker: Able to present ideas and concepts in an efficient, effective, and compelling manner. Ability to listen, consider and discuss questions and opinions in a respectful manner. Outline and supervise design presentations to ensure consistent and high-quality design and documentation.

  • Project Manager: Responsible for the design, documentation, coordination, production, and consistent high-quality of project deliverables. Establishes and enforces deadlines and maintains efficiency to provide value to clients and profitability to the firm. Work to consistently improve the efficiency and quality of operations and production within the office.

  • Marketing: Works with the principals and marketing team to develop goals for the educational market, develop strategies and work plans to accomplish goals. Evaluates the current status of the industry and the market. Works with firm leadership and marketing staff to evaluate competitors, identify opportunities, and develop relevant and useful products, messages, strategies, and to develop design and communication strategies that further the firm’s brand identity.

  • Research: Practices continual learning about the profession, the educational market and submarkets, and building technology. Applies research and insight to anticipate the future direction of the educational markets, and strives to bring the company into the fore of that trajectory.

Project Manager

Ideal candidates would be nimble and highly organized individuals who are also thorough, design-driven, and strategic. Ability to act as a leader in a collaborative team environment. 8-12 years of architectural project experience, experience with managing teams, and working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Revit. Project Architect

Good interpersonal skills, adept at identifying challenges and how to solve them; experience with community development and/or institutional/higher education projects; efficient and systematic as well as being able to understand and manage project delivery and staff – from concept to close-out – with either a B.Arch or M.Arch degree and 5-10 years of experience. Architectural Designer

Ideal candidates would be inquisitive, highly organized individuals with either a B.Arch or M.Arch degree, 1-5 years of experience, and skilled in Revit, AutoCAD, Enscape, and Photoshop.
