Bartley Hall Exchange
The mission of Villanova University’s School of Business is to develop ethical business leaders for a better world, incorporating values of truth, community, caring, and leading through service. Chief among our objectives for the design of The Exchange was to create a place of ease within the school, in which students, faculty, and visitors can share ideas, rest and recharge, study, and dine. Like the business leaders the school develops, The Exchange wears many hats - dining hall, reception room, group study space, lecture hall, and celebration space – with grace.
As the starting point of campus recruitment tours, it welcomes prospective students and their families to campus with graceful indoor and outdoor spaces. It is a welcoming arrival point for VIP guests of the College of Business.
This expansion and renovation converted an existing college cafeteria into a successful multi-function space.
While the rest of building is glazed with reflective glass, the clear glazing of The Exchange invites passersby inside, and provides a visual connection between the interior and the newly landscaped exterior spaces.
