Casa Indiana

Standing among old Philadelphia row homes and newly inspired art walks, the 50-unit senior apartments of Casa Indiana connects the old and the new. It is the continuation of decades of work by the Hispanic Association of Contractors and Enterprises (HACE) to build an equitable future for Fairhill + St. Hugh that lifts the cultural identity of the neighborhood.

Residents outside of building, with blue and white siding, enjoying the community garden.
Outside the entrance of the building at dusk with residents outside having conversation.

Casa Indiana stands not only as a safe space for the neighborhood’s aging population but also as a beacon that signals, not the transformation of the neighborhood, but it’s reclamation by the community that was there all along.
