Allegheny West Foundation

For Phase III of a project involving targeted infill of missing houses in otherwise intact blocks, CICADA Architecture/Planning, Inc. worked with Allegheny West Foundation to create five new single-family residences in the Nicetown neighborhood of Philadelphia. By grouping adjacent vacant lots, the new units can accommodate three- and four-bedroom families and are able to be fully accessible or Visitable. Architecturally, the units mimic the masonry, windows and details of the existing rowhouse blocks, blending seamlessly into the neighborhood context despite their larger footprint.
